Tragedy and Heartache in Wake of Texas Floods
Aid is rushing to the area where more than 80 have died.
About this Giving Opportunity
A frantic search continues in Kerr County, Texas, where a sudden and violent rainstorm overwhelmed the Guadalupe River and claimed more than 80 lives since Friday night. Among the missing are several girls attending Camp Mystic where flood waters rose more than 20 feet in just two hours. After declaring a state of emergency, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott emphasized that search and rescue operations will continue around the clock.
While the search continues, many other organizations are arriving on the scene to care for more than 1000 people who have been saved from the flooded areas. This giving opportunity supports the efforts of nonprofits that have indicated they are responding with search and rescue, medical attention, food, shelter and more. In this time of grief and worry, your contribution is greatly appreciated.
