In October 2017 Sonoma County experienced some of the worst fires in the California's history. Thousands of our neighbors in Sonoma County have lost everything. The Redwood Empire Food Bank is acting as a first responder - providing food to thousands at local evacuation centers and we will continue to serve those impacted by these devastating fires for weeks, months and years to come. Our experience with disasters demonstrates that the need doesn't go away once the disaster is at bay. Instead, our neighbors will experience a new normal where they find themselves in need of food assistance for the mid to long-term. We will continue to serve anyone impacted by the fires for as long as they need help.
